The Shift Happens platform was born from the desire to co create future job roles that align with the evolving needs of both emerging talent and transforming businesses. The platform aims to bridge the gap between these two sides by removing outdated recruitment processes and addressing the systemic biases that have hindered fairness and transparency. The core goal is to empower talent to craft their careers in collaboration with industry leaders, fostering a human-centered, value driven, and inclusive approach to recruitment

The project focused on creating a space where companies could collaborate with emerging talent to define roles that better serve the future workforce. With a focus on transparency, equity, and a participatory design process, Shift Happens ensures that both companies and candidates can openly define and find roles that match emerging skills, mindsets, and values

My Reflection

The most significant challenge in the project was pinpointing the heart of the problem within the recruitment industry. The biases, the lack of alignment between job roles & societal expectations, as well as the outdated frameworks hinder growth and innovation. Through active participation and collaboration, Shift Happens seeks to break these barriers and create a more inclusive, dynamic, and human centered recruitment ecosystem that benefits both individuals and businesses in the long term
